Femoral Neck Fracture In Intramedullar Femoral Nailing (Case Report)

Abstract
As the use of the intramedullary interlocking nails increased by the time, the complications about them increased in number and kind. One of these complications is iatrogenic fracture of the femoral neck during the insertion of the interlocking nail which causes a new surgical treatment and delay of the rehabilitation. In this article, a patient who has multiple fractures and associated femoral shaft fracture treated with interlocking intramedullary nail and complicated by a femoral neck fracture during the surgery has been presented and the literature reviewed about the subject.
