Abstract
In this study, radiological and clinical outcomes of 32 patients (average age 28.5 yrs.) who had spine tuberculosis and had been treated by anterior debridement and fusion were evaluated. The average follow-up period was 32 (6-66) months. Solid fusion mass was observed within 6 months after the operation in all cases. The average local kyphosis angle was 26° (10-37) preoperatively. 21° (6-35) postoperatively and 27° (6-40) at the latest follow-up. Severe pain, restricting daily activities was observed in 6 patients. It was concluded that anterior debridement and fusion which was one of the surgical treatment methods of the spine tuberculosis was an effective procedure.
