Abstract
Transient osteoporosis of the hip is a rare, self limited disorder affecting primarily middle-aged men and women during the last trimester of pregnancy. A 55 year old male patient which suffered right hip pain and limping, diagnosed by radiography, bone scanning, magnetic resonance imaging and bone mineral dansitometry is presented. Patient fully recovered with 6 month, with no sequelae. Transient osteoporosis of the hip which invasive intervenes are not necessary for diagnosis and treatment should be included in the differential diagnosis of hip pain.
