Abstract
The modified Chevron osteotomy technique was applied to 26 feet of 22 patients, for treatment of hallux valgus deformities. At follow-up, all patients were pain free with good cosmetic results. This technique is easy to apply, dependable, provides good stabilization and has some advantages in the post-operative period. In young and middle aged patients, this operation is useful in restoring normal mechanics in the first metatorsophalangeal joint.
