Abstract
Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common soft tissue sarcoma in childhood. Vincristine, actinomycin-D, cyclophosphamide and adriamycin (or epirubicin) or ifosfamide, vincristine and actinomycin-D combinations are being used as the first line treatment modalities. In patients with relapsed or resistent rhabdomyosarcomas other treatment modalities are present consisting of cisplatin + VP-16 combination or high dose melphalan with autologous bone marrow transplantation.
