Turkish Joint Diseases Foundation was established in Ankara in 1990.

Co-founders were:

Their contribution to the establishment was:

• Drs. Atik and Kalaycılar donated their medical books, medical journals, medical instruments, medical teaching materials and some amount of money.
• Lawyer Gökmen administrated bureaucratic process.
• Dr. Atik is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the journal of JOINT DISEASES AND RELATED SURGERY (JDRS).
