Abstract

Diagnostic and surgical arthroscopy was performed in 24 patients who had a persistent swelling, stiffness, chronic pain, instability in the ankle joint. We found that 9 of them had anterior impingement syndrome, 4 of them loose body, 2 scar tissue, 4 chronic synovitis and in 4 anterior talofibular ligament rupture. In 1 patient who had septic arthritis drainage, irrigation and debridement were performed. The complication rate was 20.8 %.
