Abstract

In 1993-1994, patients clinically suspected of shoulder instability were evaluated by conventional x-ray, following arthro-MR and the pathology was established. Ten patients had undergone operation. Male/Female ratio was 3/5, mean age was 27. In all patients arthroscopy was performed under general anaesthesia first, the pathology was at anterior glenoid and labrum in two patients, and anterior capsule and rotator cuff in the other eight. The Bankart lesion was Grade III. After evaluation the pathology with arthroscopy, exposing the shoulder anteriorly, the Bankart lesion repaired by anchoring the capsule and labrum to the glenoid, and transposing of the subscapularis tendon was performed.
