Primary Hip Hemiarthroplasty for Unstable Intertrochanteric Fractures in Elderly Patients

Abstract
Ten elderly patients with 11 unstable comminuted fractures if intertrochanteric region have been treated by primary hip hemiarthroplasty. All of the patients have reached the prefracture status following the operation. Loosening of the femoral stem has been seen in one of the cases at the end of the first year.
