Abstract
Purpose: The effectiveness of two different rehabilitation applications after surgery.
Patients and methods: Two patients were treated surgicalIy with Lindholm technique. Postoperatively, one of them had conventional treatment, and the other one had aggressive functional rehabilitation without cast immobilisation.
Results: Patient B had less-deficit than patient A in the flexor and extensor muscles of the ankle and knee joints.
Discussion: Long term immobilisation causes adhesions between tendons and surrounding soft tissues, and weakness of the muscles.
Conclusion: Aggressive functional rehabilitation eliminates possible complications due to long term immobilisation.
