Abstract
Benign fibrous histiocytoma is a rare tumour that derives from histiocytes. It is most commonly found in soft tissues and less frequently in adult bones. It is generally localized in metaphyseal region of long bones. Ribs are very rare location for the benign fibrous histiocytoma. A female patient who is 37 years old underwent a total resection for the mass at the left fifth rib. Pathological investigation revealed as benign fibrous histiocytoma. This patient is the fourth case of benign fibrous histiocytoma in the literature which arised from the rib.
