Shoulder Impingement Syndrome: Anatomy, Aetiology, Classification, Diagnosis And Treatment

Abstract

Shoulder impingement syndrome is reviewed under the titles of anatomy, aetiology, classification, diagnosis and treatment. Aetiology, diagnosis and treatment are discussed in view of the literature and recent advances are given. Especially, in aetiology, the anatomic variations of the acromion, in diagnosis, conventional roentgenography and in surgical treatment, anterior acromioplasty are reviewed.
